some spoilers:

I am curious what songs pop in other's heads when they think of comic stories and characters. It's interesting to me how certain jumps are made let's look at the Batman films and animated films.

With Batman Begins Shinedown's Save Me seems to match up with it to me. The lyrics describe being in a dark place and at the beginning it felt to me Bruce was as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm9g2xdxidE

With The Dark Knight another Shinedown song which is The Sound of Madness the lyrics reminded me instantly of Batman, Harvey Dent and Joker they seem to describe when society and personal choices clash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV0bhJP0fVc Another song was Tantric Break down It seems to be about a plan failing apart and things not working and at the end of the film this song just popped in my head as I was watching it for the first time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjATZYHs4Tc

I have begun thinking of certain songs with the line of animated films released by DC.

With Justice League Crisis on Two Earths Saliva's Always reminded me of the JLA/CSA feud mostly because of the dueling lyric's I guess it's the idea that an archetype of character can be good or evil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djMJ5dQ3BxE&feature=related

Hollywood Undead's song The Loss seems to be about someone's friend committing suicide. Now even though Jason did not do that he did ruin what he use to be to Bruce and the song's dark themes remind me of Jason's situation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH0fRVnmOtM

Now that Superman/Batman Apocalypse's plot has been released and it is the Supergirl arc I think of Evanescence's song Everybody's Fool the song is about female celebrities exploiting their image. The song makes me think of a mind controlled Supergirl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xorEj_CLI0Q

What songs remind you of Batman movies, tv shows or animation?

You know, you mentioned Hollywood Undead; I think their song "Circles" reminds me a bit of Bruce. The sadness and deep-rooted emotions he keeps locked away.

Kingdom come by Jay-Z. A couple of super heroes are mentioned in this song, most notably (at least for me) is the line about batman:

"The Bruce Wayne of the game have no fear
When you need me just throw your ROC signs in the air, yeah!"

You can hear the song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY1t08jP51I

When I was reading Batman RIP issue 680 Hollywood Undead's "My Black Dalhia" ran through my head.
