HELP WANTED GKO CHRONICLES

I'm going to throw this one out there and see who wanted to help me regularly as an editor on The Gotham Knights Online Chronicles?

This is a beast of a task but very enjoyable. The main thing is getting content written and sorting out the layout – Originally I was aiming for a 4 page issue, but I suddenly realised with everything that happens in the Batman Universe I was just adding page after page – the end result was pretty satisfying.

There will be regular features every month with special articles added from interviews we’ve done and a feature on the top news topic of the month.

The features are:

• Comic News 1-2 pages – including solicitations and major news from the comic industry.
• Merchandise 1-2 pages (this months releases and newly announced products)
• Media 1-4 pages (Covering Movies, TV and video games with reviews)
• Interviews - depending on the scope 1-2 pages and if your willing to do the leg work in getting interview even better.
• Reviews 1-2 pages, mini reviews pick of the week.
• Feature 1-4 pages – if there is a topic you really want to cover then let me know and we can talk about setting up a big feature.

Oh and last thing - you'll need MS Publisher 2000 and up to help edit pages and sort layout.

I'd really like to help you there Bob but as you probably figure, english is not my first language so considering all the time you would have to put on the correction ... I guess I'm not you're best candidate ...
But I'll be more than happy to contribute for ideas, links, topics of any kind regarding our favorite character.

Not at all - we've got to go through a few drafts and sometimes condense, which means I got to read and edit anyway. Gary also does his awesome editing work so I'm sure between us we can amend anything your you want us to look at.

If there is something your looking to help with send me an email and we can sort logistics out, but feel free to throw any ideas my way.

I would love to help out if it's needed! I have a lot of free time and I'm extremely flexible with things so I'm always open if you guys need some extra help!

I'm president of my film club at school, and I make the monthly newsletter (they're quite.. corny.. and simple. I usually make them on Microsoft Word '03 - '07, but I'm quite gifted with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, but that's usually limited for our movie poster's! ) so I could always lend you guys a hand. I know my quick drafted resume is lame, but I'm here if you need any help whatsoever!

I'm sure experience doesn't matter... How do you think I got on the podcast and stuff !? I think it's more about efficiency and I'm sure Bob will find some kind of use for you!

Haha, I was too! In fact, I started the first one at my high-school.

Anyways, we will definitely have a use for you, Virginia. I believe I'm still the "editor" (meaning I proofread it all and make the text look pretty) if the big man still wants me, but I'm sure Bob could use help putting it all together (I have no idea how to use the art programs and stuff he uses to put it together). Plus, if you'd like, I'm sure we could use someone for writing the columns and whatnot.

Awesome! Well, I didn't want to just roll in here and expect you guys to do anything with me. I always felt like establishing background experience is a good start! c:

Wow! I met the girl who started ours. I'm 3rd generation, if you want to call it that. Awesome. I would love to contribute!

Really, the person you should talk to is Bob. Since he's kinda infrequent on here, if you want you can e-mail him at bob@gothamknightsonline.com. Or you could just wait and hope he sees it soon, your choice. But yeah, either way I doubt he'll turn down help haha.

I certainly do have access to Microsoft Publisher. I also have access with the other Microsoft Office products. I use Adobe Illustrator frequently and that's how I usually make my own posters and whatnot, like these two are fairly recent, I have no idea how to upload .pdf files so I just screen capp'd them and pasted them inside paint. Hah. They're quite large... so I made them into thumbnails to save computer screens! :
