| I'm on the fence - I like this belt more than Dicks - his looks like it will stab him in the belly every time he jumps up. I'm considering making my own utility belt based on the new design? | |

| Agreed, I like Dick's even less.

When I saw the Batman and Robin issues, I actually enjoyed Dick's costume design. He looked "retro" but somehow modern. I don't like his blue-ish hue on his cape, but his symbol is classy somewhat. Dick just looks like he picked up an old Bat costume and went with it. But it was definitely better than Drake's Batman outfit from Battle for the Cowl. Jeez. Horrible.. - gallegra wrote:
- I thought I mentioned it here, but I guess I didn't...I don't like that part, either. It reminds me of the Superman Returns belt buckle, where it was just the Superman shield, which I hated.
-Gary Oops! I read all the posts! I must have missed it! Sorry. But, wow. I never noticed that. I wonder if they got inspired by Superman's design? Looks eerily similar.

| Don't feel bad about it, I wasn't knocking you, I just couldn't remember where I posted it haha. But yeah, I hated the hell out of that belt. Most everything else grew on me over time, but I never liked that stupid buckle.

| Lose the cup, and it would be pretty cool, IMO. | |

Well he needs SOMETHING to protect his Bat-nards now that he doesn't have his kevlar underwear on the outside anymore haha -Gary

| Eh--the underwear on the heroes is something where I don't mind them in the comics, but if someone decides to redesign the costume without it, I can't say I'd be too sad about it. | |

| Oh... er... Well... Uhm.
Wow. I guess he needs to protect them? It would be a cheap kick or punch from an enemy if they knew he was.. unarmed.

Alfred was a trained stage actor, remember--and as someone who's registered as a professional stage actor, I'll tell you this: stage acting is one of the few places in the world where men are considered wimps and sissies if they refuse to cross-dress for a role. With that in mind, I think Alfred's fine with the tights.

I don't know if that makes me respect Alfred and Bruce more or less.... -Gary

-Gary I know it makes me respect them more, but it wouldn't be the first time I'd be called a deviant.

-Gary Teehee! I kinda have to give Alfred props though.. he has put up a lot with Bruce's unnecessary tantrums.

Totally! On the podcast I believe we once talked about how we'd like to see an Alfred ongoing title, because he's actually really bad-a. I mean, he was in special-ops in the military, is a stage actor, and does BILLIONS of things for Batman on an ongoing basis. Looking on his wikipedia once, it was once mentioned that Alfred has been kidnapped unsuccessfully 27 times haha. Seriously though, gotta love Pennyworth. Especially for his hardest job - putting up with Damien's s**t lately. -Gary

-Gary Hah! Wow, I didn't any of that. Alfred.. my man. I just know he was adorable in LEGO Batman. Aha, the platter! I got a kick out of it, so did my boyfriend. He got too serious with it. And the zoo sweeper.. LEGO Batman is serious business. I know. I really don't like Damien, I mean, he's a cool kid, but I dunno. I never really admired the fact of Batman loving any other woman than Selina. Has there been an issue with her thoughts on Damien and Batman's new love interest?

-Gary An Alfred series would be cool. If it was set in the time before he was the Wayne's Butler, such as when he was in the sepcial-ops like you said, that would be something I would definitely read. I always liked the Animated series episode " The Lion and the Unicorn, which delt with Alfred's time with the British Secret Service.

| I looked up some stuff on Alfred in comic books, and apparently he did have a little mini feature of his own. In "Batman" comics if I'm recalling the information I read a day ago. It didn't run long, and was just the few last pages of the main feature of the comic book, like how they did with The Question in "Detective Comics". | |
