| Hi Batman fans! I guess most of you have heard that DC will be revising their comic book prices starting from January 2011. Most comic books priced at the current US3.99 will be lowered to US2.99 and that includes all the core Batman titles! This is the best piece of news I've heard in a very long time. Eat your heart out Marvel!!!  What are your thoughts guys? | |

| For once we can thank the evil mega-conglomerates of Disney & Warner Bros....who are so concerned about crushing the other that they will begin the capitalist scheme of lowering costs to outdue their competition. I'm not sure who fired the first salvo, but Newsarama is reporting that Marvel Comics is doing the same thing.
The other reason I think both companies are doing this is to crush the independents. With the big 2 dropping their prices, the smaller companies won't be able to compete. This is probably also a move to force creator-owned titles to run exclusively through DC & Marvel's front companies Wildstorm/Vertigo & Image Comics. The smaller companies are probably in panic mode as we speak.
The other reason that the big 2 may be doing this is because they plan on starting up several more monthlies, so that we will spend the same amount as before, hook us on their new product and THEN raise the books back up to "crush" us! LOL!!
