What would you do with Batman?

Hey guys/gals;

If you were at the top of DC Entertainment, and you could do anything you wanted with the Batman rights, what would you do? I know there's probably a ton of things, but at least at first let's keep it to 1 idea per-person. So, you can start any one project you want based on the Batman character/history. Any comic, book, tv show, movie, video game, toy, statue, music; whatever you want!

Since we only get one choice, I would have Bruce Wayne appear on Smallville in what is supposedly it's 10th and final season coming up. It's been talked about and hoped forever, so that's probably one of the biggest things on my list.

Thats easy, I would beg Alan Moore to write a batman story.

I would probably create a few more villains for storylines
I've got quite a few ideas I wish could be used, so I'll probs write some fan fiction along with concept art to bring my ideas to life

I'd love to see an anime inspired Batman show. Not in the anime animation style but in the way a whole series is serialized with an extended story arc. I think it would be the closest to a comic book storyline where the plots are more complex.

That would be really interesting, actually. I don't know we've ever had a serious, serialized take on Batman like that.

That's a great idea!

For me, I would bring back the live-action Batman TV series like the 60s series with Adam West and Burt Ward. I would modernize it and make it less cheesy, much like what the Nolan brothers did with 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight'.

If Superman can be serialized (Smallville), I don't see why we can't do the same with Batman.

I totally agree - Once Batman 3 is out of the way I think TV should explore a proper TV avenue for Batman - The City of
Scars fan movie proved it can be done well even in a 30 minutes.

The only thing is, even if both Chris Nolan and Christian Bale drop out of the 4th Batman, it's such a cash-cow you know they're not going to stop making films. And the excuse for not having Bruce/Batman on Smallville all these years has been that they don't want the character being spread too thin in different mediums. So, yeah. I doubt it. But it'd be sooooo awesome if they did!

Darker Style would be great, fitting in with the style of the Nolan films
I think that the tv series of Blade a couple years back failed because it didn't appeal to a large enough audience.
A Batman tv series would definitely prove popular enough, as long as they don't make it family-orientated, since that's what Brave and the Bold is for

What better way to start a Batman tv show than to have Bruce Wayne and OR Batman appear at the last few minutes of the finale of Smallville with a quirk of a remark between him and Clark, hinting at cooperation for Justice League and solo adventures of Batman, remember Batman is a part timer Leaguer.

You have no idea how much I love that idea. I hate DC and Warner for keeping Bruce from being on Smallville. He doesn't even have to be Batman yet, just training and traveling the world like they were going to do originally.
