| I've currently been watching through the past few seasons of the hit USA Network show 'Psych', about a guy who's got natural detective skills who pretends to be a psychic to work with the police department. Pretty good stuff, I like it a lot.

You are right Sergiot0831!!!! I love The Dark Knight & Watchmen! I never read the Watchmen graphic novel (so I am not biased in favor of the book), but I thought the movie was great! Violent & original....awesome! The Dark Knight film is what all other "superhero" movies will be judged against for the near future....

| I am currently in the midst of watching through BSG for the second time....along with the movies Caprica & The Plan I fully intend to immerse myself into the world of Battlestar Gallactica!!! I'm nearing the end of season 3, I've watched the series through once before, but it's been just as good the second time through.....
The Book of Eli was good, The Warlords (starring Jet Li & those guys from Crouching tiger/hidden dragon, House of flying Daggers, Hero, & just about every other Asian Epic made in the last decade) was so-so if you're a fan of Asian Epics, disappointing if you are not.

| Wow, I've never seen any of those things lol. I've heard with BSG you either totally love it or hate it, there's no in-between. I've just never had the time to check it out...along with many other things lol.

| I don't have much time for TV these days but I'm slowly catching up with the 3 CSI series. I'm a little behind but better late than never right? These 3 shows are my favourite at the moment.

I used to really enjoy all 3 of the CSI shows, but since I haven't watched most of them it would take me forever to catch up. I haven't watched the original CSI since well before Grissom left lol. -Gary

-Gary You're probably right Gary, I've had several friends (who are Sci-Fi Geeks) who didn't like it. That said, just as many love it! Give it a try if you get an opportunity.....it's Sci-Fi meets meta-physics & spirituality (don't worry, BSG will not "convert" you to anything). The ending is Fabulous if you've paid attention to ALL the previous episodes, it's something you definitely want to watch from the beginning if you can.

| I just finished watching Batman: Under the Red Hood with a friend, I enjoyed it a lot. I've been somewhat down on animated movies (when compared to the books), but this one was good. You can read my review; if you care to, at my blog (just click the link to my "website" in my profile). Having finished BSG, I've decided to go back in time.....so I've started watching the HBO series ROME. If you haven't seen it (and you're a history buff), it is awesome! Historically accurate to the times, the acting is fantastic, the scenery is great, etc. It is probably the best historical fiction series I've ever seen, showing pre-Christian Rome during the times of Julius Caesar up until the fall of Antony & Cleopatra. All of the characters are historical, and the series follows two "commoners" from Caesar's 13th Legion as they fight, return to Rome, and live and are mixed up in all the events going on during that time period. | |

| I really have to see that Little Miss Sunshine...I've heard good things.
I just marathon'd the first season of two shows, Vampire Diaries and Glee. Both make me feel a little gay, with Vampire Diaries for buying into the whole emo vampire craze (which I'd avoided up until that show) and for watching Glee, a show about high-school show choir. But, I like 'em. Not even gonna try and defend it, but I'm just putting that out there.

| I watched THE IRON GIANT for the first time. It is a great animation film, maybe even the best.
Has anybody else watched the film?

Has anybody else watched the film? Watched it a few years back. It's one of the best animated movies around. It has a good story that every adult and kid can relate to. It used to be my favourite until Pixar started giving us Toy Story, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Up. I'm thinking of watching the Birds of Prey TV Series again. Until today, I still don't understand why Warner Bros would want to cancel the series even though ratings were good. Seeing Dina Meyer in the Batgirl costume was really one of the many highlights in the TV Series.

Seeing Dina Meyer in the Batgirl costume was really one of the many highlights in the TV Series. Yeah the movie is great and I especially like the comic book references. I mean the giant robot is inspired by superman, how cool is that? Yeah the BOP tv series wasnt that bad. I liked how they kept batman out of it and focused on the girls. But I would have enjoyed seeing batman in the final episode.

| I'm of the opinion that the reason great sci-fi, fantasy, and comic book related series always get cancelled before they come to their natural conclusion (Smallville being the exception to this "rule") is that when all the "suits" gather in their board rooms discussing shows....even if the show is getting good ratings....no one in a suit is going to admit to being a comic book or sci-fi geek. They just all huff, puff, and go have a scotch while inwardly crying that a show they secretly love is going to get axed. | |

| Man, it's been forever since I've seen Iron Giant. I liked it when I saw it, but it's been a long time. I don't watch or like animated/pixar movies, except for stuff that's based on comic books - and not even all of 'em - so I haven't even thought to re-watch it now that I've grown up lol. Oh man, Birds of Prey - I loved that show. Wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was really fun. Good stuff. - Mr.Vulture wrote:

Hahaha, it almost seems that way. It's really rare that they have a legitimate reason for it, like with one of my favorites "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". Especially Fox...ever since X-Files, most sci-fi shows haven't been given a chance. I think the only reason "Fringe" is still on the air is because nobody wants to mess with JJ Abrams. And "Smallville" is super lucky to have lasted this long, especially under the CW (which has cut everything that's not a teen-based soap opera geared towards females except "Smallville" and "Supernatural").

| FINALLY!!! I've purchased and am avidly watching the second season of Fringe! I love this series! With nothing else going on in Sci-Fi at the moment, it is all I have to cling to....lol!
I've also been watching the old Anime "Ghost in the Shell"....

| I totally get what you mean about Fringe! Love that show! Just saw the season 3 premiere last week, and it was pretty awesome. I'm glad Fox is keeping it around, because it's a great show.
I've only watched a bit of Ghost in the Shell, but I like it whenever I get the chance to see it. Pretty awesome!
My big thing right now is the return of Smallville...it was epic!

| Yeah, Smallville has certainly proven itself a winner! I would never have expected it to last as long as it has. | |

| Finished up the second season of Fringe.......loved it!! NEVER saw the ending coming (though I should have)! Running through Babylon 5 again........
I've been frustrated at the lack of "true" sci-fi since Battlestar Galactica ended. I enjoy Caprica & Dr. Who is decent (the few episodes I've seen)....but paranormal is the new "it", and sci-fi is taking a back seat in TV series, though it is doing well in the cinema.

I've never seen Battlestar Galactica, but I can get what you're saying. There isn't a whole lot of sci-fi out there these days that isn't paranormal/spiritual or superhero/power based. -Gary
