| According to Geoff Johns' Twitter page DC will be developing a live action Blue Beetle television series. More so on the lines of the rumor mill but it is from Geoff Johns. | |

| A tv series with the "new" Blue Beetle may be just what that character needs not to be "deceased" within a few years. Given his latin background and cool scarab-suit, it could be a big hit with younger audiences. Or, if done in a manga style, could do well with the teenage crowd. | |

| I love the idea, personally. I'm wondering if Geoff is planning on working him into Smallville in its (supposedly) final season, and then doing a spinoff on the CW! I'd watch it; I dig the character. And like Mr. Vulture said, he's a young, hip, diverse character with a super-awesome suit. The only catch would be if the CG looked bad on a TV budget.

-Gary You sure you don't have any link to corporate media Gary lol - that's a fantastic idea and I wouldn't be surprised if you just hit the nail on the head. I reckon he will show up in Smallville. The Screen shots they showed of his trasformation on DC The Source looked cool.

| They did look pretty good. And obviously it's unfinished. I'd love to see a Blue Beetle/Justice League or whatever spin-off from Smallville. Heck, I'd like a full blown Tom Welling Superman show, but I seriously doubt after 10 years of Clark Kent that now, in his 30's, he really wants to jump straight into a continuing Superman gig.
And Bob, sometimes I wish I was somehow involved in corporate media - I have tons of ideas! And a lot of the things they try they screw up badly...
But yeah. That's about it. Good thing they didn't do "The Graysons" a few years ago, huh?

| I think a Grayson series would have worked or a new Batman TV series of some sort - Gotham Central. Cop show set in Gotham with Commish, Bullock, Montya and others. You never actually see Batman, but there are hint of him there in the background.
Loads of cool rogues shwoing up...

| I was actually kinda kidding. Most people thought Graysons sounded like a dumb idea, but I was actually one of few who thought it'd be ok. I mean, it was Smallville people attached to it with Warner and DC; I doubt they would've screwed it up. People were probably just hung up on the idea that they were going to call Dick "DJ" or something because Dick wasn't considered "hip" enough, and that it'd be about the Flying Grayson's pre-Robin. But I think it could've worked. Then again, I'm also one of the few "real" comic fans that like Smallville and enjoyed Birds of Prey, so who knows.
I could see Gotham Central being cool, but I don't know how much the general audience would like it. But I could see it being paired up with Supernatural; both kinda supernatural/sci-fi and whatnot.

| Good stuff! I think there should be little bits where you see/hear Batman though, like in the dark in Gordon's office. You never really see him, and he doesn't do much but give Jim clues and whatnot. I think that'd be cool.
