Superman/Batman Apocalypse Trailer - What do you think?

Hey everyone;

I just watched the Superman/Batman apocalypse trailer, and WOW. Looks like another win for DC's Direct-to-Video line! But, I have a question; as much as I love the content and editing of the trailer, I can't tell whether or not I like the seemingly anime-inspired style they went with for that one. I like that Batman looks menacing (and has the tall ears on the cowl!) and seems to have the Begins/Dark Knight bat-symbol on his chest, but his face looks all wierd to me. Same with Superman; they just have this kinda jagged, squared look to their faces and I don't know if I like it. What do you all think?

Just watched it and I love it. So it seems that this movie is an adaption of the superman/batman arc supergirl from the comics by Jeph Loeb and Michael Turner. As to the style of drawing the faces, it seems they are trying to transport the art of the late Michael Turner to this movie. Turner used to draw the male characters with strong features like the square jaws. While I understand that it is not for everybody, I enjoy it a lot since I also like Turners art.

I hear you, Badsoul. However, I really feel like the style of the movie is far removed from Turner's style. He does do the square-jawed thing, but in general this reminds me more of Gotham Knight's style than it does Mike Turner. A LOT more.
