CBR: BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM TALKS WITH SENIOR PRODUCER NATHAN BURLOW

Not many big reveals in the interview with Nathan Burlow, but it was interesting to read about how the long the game has been in production.

CBR did try and get some more character reveal, but it was interesting what Nathan mentioned regarding other big reveal and side-kicks?

"There are plenty of characters rumored to be in the game, however I will only name some of the characters we’ve revealed thus far which are Batman, Joker, Commissioner Gordon and Killer Croc. In regards to the other characters or sidekicks, all I can say is to keep an eye out in the press over the coming months. We’ve some great surprises left to reveal…"

This has been my FAVORITE pastime and I look forward to the reveals in the upcoming months!

I don't bout you guys but that one word stood out to me
I don't think it was refering to an villains sidekicks (ie Harely Quinn, since we already know she's in the game from the trailer)

I'm not sure, but I'll be totally psyched to see what happens!

i saw an interview with Mark Hamill concerning Arkham Asylum 2 and he said that it will be even darker than the first part. He even stated that the second game would be as dark as the animated movie Return of the joker!!

now I'm realy excited.

Also, Howard, how the heck did you get 100% on Arkham Asylum?!? I guess I didn't try hard enough; I got full game completion for story mode, but I couldn't do anything with those fighting round challenges or whatnot.

As you can see from my PSN ID it's the only game I really play so it would be a shame if I DIDN'T get 100%, right?

I DO joke with friends that I am not the Dark knight but the Perfect Knight, heh heh...

Hahaha, nice one! I really should get back to trying to complete that, it's an awesome game. And I'm really ashamed that I don't think I've even gotten one of the challenge modes yet.

I need to add you guys to my PSN - 100% Howard that's fantastic. I really need to stop play the Joker levels and do the rest.

Yeah - I've been crazy at work these last couple weeks - traveling to London and Newcastle. Mobile communication and the launch of the bloody iPhone 4 this week... I hate iPhone lol

Its just mad, helping run the site, record and edit podcasts and finishing off the chronicles. I just don't seem to have any spare time. I don't know whow I manage top fit in reading the actual comics... oh yeah, when I go to bed - my dreams are full of Batman every night... heaven

How is the GOTY edition? Is it any different, aside from the 3D? And how do you do that, by the way? I hear pretty much any HDTV can do it, so long as you have the glasses. But I don't know how to set it up, and how much it costs for the glasses/equipment.

You know you only hate it because you don't have one haha. But I hear you...I finally get my super awesome HTC EVO Google Android phone, but now I'm realizing all the good apps are on iTunes. Like the darn DC digital comics thing...argh. But I can take some solace in the fact that in every other way my phone is superior, and the Android Market is just starting to get grow!

All you have to do is buy the GOTY edition, put it in the console and choose Trioviz 3D in the game option during the start up. You can always play the game without it as well. And it has 4 extra challenge maps, Scarecrow Nightmare, Crime Alley, Totally Insane, and Nocturnal Hunter.

The effects work best with the light environment, like the play of it on water, fog, cobwebs etc. It was an added dimension to exploring the island.

Oh wow, so all you have to do is put it in the PS3 and select the option to have it in 3D? I'd imagine it has to be an HD tv, but other than that you don't need a special cable or glasses? That's pretty dang cool! I figured I'd have to get a 140 USD pair of Sony 3d glasses they showed at E3 lol.
