| With our economy struggling, and Comic Book buyers having less money to throw around, and higher prices on comics in general.....should DC Comics (& even Marvel for that matter) continue to expand choices or streamline it's brand to the best selling monthlies?
For instance....Should there continue being several Batman titles or simply 2 or 3? What about Superman's 2...should there just be one? Is JSA All-Stars really needed/wanted with Justice Society of A. too? Superman/Batman & World's Finest? What about "secondary" titles like Power Girl, Magog, Green Arrow/Black Canary, Titans/Teen T.'s, Supergirl, Secret 6, Brave & Bold, etc. ? Should these titles be cancelled and just have mini-series when there are good stories to tell? Or, should DC continue expanding to try and find that new blockbuster?

Here's my 2 cents: I would prefer DC Comics to stick with just 2 Batman titles - Batman and Detective Comics. For the main Batman book, stories could be centered around Batman and Robin. As for the Batwoman, Batgirl, Oracle, Huntress and the rest of the Bat family, I would prefer them to have rotating features in Detective Comics.

| Its a difficult one for me. As a fan I'm happy to see more and more titles within the Batman universe, but your right at time it can be quite expensive and during these times the more titles these comic companies throw out the more if forces people like me to start dropping titles.
I understand they are there to make money and provide some great adventures for the fans, but some time to much isn't always a good thing.
I'd prefer to see a couple of main titles like Batman and Tec, along with a team title. That way all the other family characters get the expose through one off feature stories.
Today DC announced the Earth One universe so again we've got to part with hard earned cash if the title is good... what do you drop, there are some extremely good titles out there right now…

| Great Response! I hear you all, that's why I posted this. I was collecting waaayyy too many, so I've had to make cutbacks (just being financially responsible). I used to collect a couple marvel titles, but they're out. Then the torture and guilt began......
I love Green Arrow & Black Canary, but if their sales don't go up they will probably be cancelled. So do I stop collecting now, or hold out for the inevitable? I've cut down to Batman, Batman/Robin, & BM:SOG.....but now DiDio is writing Outsiders, so I'll probably pick that up. I keep threatening to drop Superman (I've already cut out Action Comics & Supergirl), but then Geoff Johns writes a great story....so I renig on my threat. Then there are the 85 or so comics concerning Blackest Night......and I'll always collect GL & GL Corps!
I stopped collecting Flash (because there was nothing to collect)....but now he's back!! I did drop all the JSA titles (score one for financial responsibility), and will probably drop JLA as well....unless the "trinity" stays active in stories. I love Superman/Batman! But if they don't get some good writers soon.....but then I'm a "completist", and I've collected everything they've put out since issue 1! Then they'll probably start Hawkman back up, and I'm not even going to get into the Independents......
Who am I kidding? I'll probably being living on the street soon with a cart full of comics! It's all so frustrating!......lol!

| It's definitley a tough call. It's hard for me right now, as I'm following Batman (of course), Blackest Night (and all it's tie-ins) and Superman and the New Krypton storyline, so I've got a lot on my plate already lol. | |

| Come on Gary, we've talked about this on the podcast, let's not have to take away your Batman fan card lol This month I'm only concentrating on Batman titles. Will have to drop Superman and GL until the new year... | |

| Well, I've been able to cut it to 10 titles......it's been quite a struggle. That doesn't include Blackest Night....or Brightest Day though. The only Marvel Title I'm still collecting is Hulk, but after "Fall of the Hulks", I don't see Jeph Loeb sticking around so I'll be Marvel-free.
I've also cut out all my Independents except Elephantmen.....which is AWESOME if any of you are wondering!
So it's DC all the way! | |

| Good for you! I'm sure it was hard to cut it down that much lol. Of course, I *Legally Aquire* all of my comics off of *iTunes* so I don't have to worry about the high costs...

| I love buying actual comics, but 1) There aren't any comic shops around here and 2) I'm in college and have no money. So I haven't bought many real comics lately. I did buy that blackest night tie-in set with the rings though, and I bought like half of 52. But that's about it.

| I try lol. I've talked to Bob and Cory about this, and I really do feel bad about not supporting the industry; but I do what I can.
